‘Things Are Getting Nasty’: Sylvester Stallone Shares Intense New Look at Tulsa King Season 3
Season 3 of the crime drama Tulsa King is on its way, and series star and Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone shared a new look on his Instagram.
With Season 2’s success, it came as no surprise Tulsa King was renewed for another reason. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the series sees Stallone in his first-ever leading television role. Dwight Manfredi is a caporegime in the American Mafia who is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after serving a 25-year-long prison sentence in New York. Dwight is tasked with setting up a criminal organization in the city. After Season 1’s executive producer Dave Erickson took over as showrunner in place of Terence Winter, Winter served as head writer on Season 2 and essentially served as the series’ co-showrunner alongside Season 2’s lead director, Craig Zisk.
Neither Winter nor Zisk were listed in Paramount+’s renewal announcement. Season 3, however, has brought quite a few new cast members on board, including Robert Patrick, Beau Knapp, Bella Heathcote, and James Russo. The series features additional performances from Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, A. C. Peterson, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo.
Plot details have been left vague. However, Starr teased at “a lot of action” in the scripts, stating, “I can’t tell you anything that I’ve read in those episodes, but I am excited. The new season is going to be a lot of fun. It looks already like there’s going to be a lot of action, and there are some loose ends that may or may not get tied up.” Additionally, Stallone hinted at some more plot details in an Instagram video. He confirmed Dwight and Bill’s alliance would continue, stating, “This is my friend Frank Grillo. We’re about to do something a little devious in the name of commerce. It’s not like we’re thieves, right? We’re actually trying to retrieve what belongs to us. I have a feeling it’s going to go South.”
