EastEnders has confirmed devastating news for Harry Mitchell (played by Elijah Holloway) after his missing girlfriend was confirmed dead on Thursday (30th April).
As fans of the soap know, Harry’s mum, Nicola (Laura Doddington), killed Shireen four years ago after she discovered Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) was not Teddy’s (Roland Manookian) biological son.
Nicola has spent years desperately trying to conceal the truth about Shireen after she vanished following an argument with Harry.
Earlier this week, Teddy discovered his wife’s involvement in the murder and promised to sort the predicament.
The pair decided to confront associate Benji (Carl Prekopp), who had concealed the body in 2021, offering him £60k to move it for Paradise Park in Dartford.
Teddy watched on from afar as police swarmed the area and arrested Benji as they caught him in the act.During Thursday’s episode, Nicola learned what had happened, and the pair decided to get their story straight before further questioning.
Shireen’s brother, Asad (Aslan Amjad), contacted Harry to tell him that she had been found dead, leaving him devastated.
Harry rushed home and asked his parents if they knew, but they played ignorant and denied any knowledge of the situation.
However, police detectives were soon at the door and wanted to speak to Nicola. A stunned Harry watched on as they told his mum that Benji had implicated her, and they also confirmed Nicola had contacted Benji on a burner phone.
Biting back, Nicola gave a convincing argument and branded Benji a ‘fantasist’ as the police left the house pending further investigations.
Following Nicola’s dealings with Benji, EastEnders fans have been left speculating that he is Harry’s biological father, not Teddy. The theory comes only weeks after Nicola confirmed Zack Hudson (James Farrar) as Barney’s dad.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “And Benji is the father of Harry #EastEnders.”
A second stated: “#EastEnders Harry knows who Benji is? I wonder if Benji has ever got in contact with Harry? I’m still convinced that he’s Harry’s real dad.”
A third added: “If this ever turns out true, I will fully support Teddy in starting world war 3 because Barney is bad enough, but his firstborn will just be pure evil.”
