EastEnders fans say ‘he’s alive’ after Zack Hudson character presumed dead following car crash

EastEnders fans are claiming that Zack Hudson is still alive after the character was ‘presumed dead’ following a horror car crash.

The brother of Sharon Watts has made a number of mistakes on the BBC soap this week, with the biggest when he told Harry Mitchell that his brother Barney is his and not Teddy Mitchell’s.

Harry didn’t take well to the news about his family, immediately telling Teddy and bundling Zack into his car boot before speeding out of Walford.

Despite being furious at Zack for sleeping with his wife Nicola Mitchell, Teddy did the right thing and got Honey Mitchell, Billy Mitchell and Nigel Bates to follow Harry’s car

Eventually finding Harry pulled over in a woodland area, the group managed to persuade him to return home. However, Teddy decided he wanted to talk to Zack when he woke up.

Once Zack awakened, he quickly panicked, causing Teddy to lose control of his car and fly off the side of the embankment and plunge into the water.

In scenes that aired on Wednesday (May 28), Teddy quickly made it to the surface unharmed following the crash.

Teddy broke the news that he couldn’t find Zack in the water, with it appearing that he drowned as a result of the crash.

To make matters worse, Nigel went missing amidst all the bedlam, but he was eventually found in the woods. In spite of his memory issues, Nigel remembered that Teddy was driving the car.

Meanwhile, Nicola was having issues of her own as she found out that Harry wanted to hurt Zack and that Ravi Gulati knew the identity of Barney’s father.

Former drug dealer Ravi told her that she’s in danger if anything happened to Zack, refusing to listen to her claims that she’s a good mum.

Initially deciding that Teddy should face the consequences of what happened, Honey said they should lie to the police and tell them his car was stolen.

Once back in Watford, Phil Mitchell pondered if Sharon is aware of what happened as she’s currently taking a break from the square.

The episode concluded with Vicki Fowler being furious about Zack’s passing, going straight to Barney to tell him the truth.

“Your mum has been lying to you. Teddy ain’t your dad, Zack is. And they have all just had him killed,” she said.

Despite everything that happened in the episode, fans on the EastEnders Reddit page are adamant that Zack is okay and will live to see another day.

@prudent-Pineapple-94: “He isn’t dead, either he disappears for a while or he will be the duf-duff Thursday night when he rocks up to either Sharon’s or Ravi’s looking for help. It will most probably Ravi’s where Barney will be staying to get away from his family. Zack can’t die. I refuse to believe it. There has to be a Father-Son reunion.” @danielharris1260 added: “I don’t believe he’s dead until we see a body.”
