Coronation Street star Vicky Myers ’emotional’ by co-star’s comment as she issues ‘we are’ response
The actress is best known - and much loved - by fans for playing DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap and has a close relationship with her castmates

Coronation Street star Vicky Myers appeared to be left ’emotional’ as she received a sweet public message from her on-screen daughter.
The actress is best known – and much loved – by fans for playing DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap, having made her debut in that specific role back in 2021.
Landing the role of the top cop wasn’t Vicky’s first stint in the show, however, as she had two previous roles – a paramedic during a fire on the street and a driver who came to the rescue after Tyrone and Molly Dobbs.
But now, it’s very much Lisa who fans adore, after Vicky was given the role on a regular basis last year. Things have gone from strength to strength for the character – and the actress – with her developing relationship beyond Weatherfield Police Station.
We’ve seen her daughter Betsy arrive in Weatherfield, discovered her partner, Becky, was killed in the line of duty, and saw her develop a connection with Carla Connor.
But as well as their on-screen relationships, it’s the off-screen ones that are filling fans’ hearts with joy. In a new social media post, Sydney Martin, who plays Betsy, was quick to show support for her on-screen mum and step-mum.

Sharing a post about the upcoming British Soap Awards on X, formerly known as Twitter, which featured pictures of Vicky as Lisa and Alison King in her long-running role as Carla, Sydney gushed: “I’m the real winner with how lucky I am to have them both!”
And the message caught Vicky’s attention who replied: “Sydney [face holding back tears and single tear crying emojis]. We are so lucky to have you sweetheart [twinkling stars and hand heart emojis].”
Fans were also keen to respond. @betsyrswain said: “We’re lucky to have all three of you a brilliant little family and talented actresses.” @jonalee_xoxo commented: “STOPPPPPP that’s so cuteeee.” @loveyou_spaces wrote: “Just beautiful all 3 of you as a little fam.”
@MarieJacks69633 shared: “All three of you are amazing actresses. You all put so much into your scenes. It’s beautiful to watch your little family’s journey.” @simonek81 added: “Oh what a beautiful thing to say.”
It comes after Sydney previously took part in a live social media Q&A in which she was asked: “How does it feel to have Vicky & Ali as your onscreen mums?” to which she replied: “You really couldn’t ask for better I am very, very lucky,” before co-star Cait Fitton also interjected: “You are so looked after by them.”
