Coronation Street star Tanisha Gorey has shared a sweet update on her love life as she posed for a gorgeous snap with her rarely-seen boyfriend.
Fans best know the actress for playing Asha Alahan in the ITV soap. She joined in the role of Dev and Sunita Alahan in 2009, after the character arrived on-screen alongside twin brother, Aadi, in 2006, then played by triplets Hannah, Harris and Ria Ahmed.
Away from life on the cobbles, Tanisha tends to keep her private life just that but sometimes shares updates with her partner, Lucas Whelan.
While he doesn’t often feature on her social media as they keep their relationship out of the spotlight, Tanisha first went public with her relationship with Lucas on her 18th birthday. The two were then flooded with support when they revealed they had bought their first home together back in 2022.
Taking to social media this week, Tanisha shared a sun-soaked selfie of the pair, alongside which she gushed: “5 years of us,” alongside a face holding back tears emoji, pink hearts and a face surrounded by hearts emoji before tagging her other half.

Last year on their anniversary, Tanisha shared a selfie with her beau with the caption reading: “4 years of us, I will love you always.” It came after the soap star uploaded a snap of her at Disney’s Cinderella Castle for a romantic getaway.
It was in 2022 that Tanisha revealed she bought her first home with her boyfriendby sharing one picture with the house keys in front of her new property.
She wrote at the time: “I can’t quite believe we’ve bought our first home!!! Cue the typical pic hehe,” referencing the fact most people take a picture of their keys after moving into their new home.
Her friends, fans and a number of her Corrie co-stars were all sending her kind, congratulatory messages.
