There are worrying times ahead of more than one resident of Weatherfield next week, while the heat also rises between some in Coronation Street.

At the start of the week, when James Bailey explains to his sister Dee-Dee how Laila kept him up most of the night, she offers to take over so he can get some rest.

When minding Laila, Dee-Dee can’t help but smile at her baby daughter. Daniel Osbourne suggests to Dee-Dee that she should talk to Amy Barlow about doing a slot on student radio about black women’s maternity experiences.

Later, Dee-Dee opens a letter informing her that Laila is due for her vaccinations but when Michael tells her that James is in Leeds, she realises that she’ll have to take Laila herself. After the appointment, Dee-Dee admits to Michael that she found the experience emotional.

Dee-Dee then confides in Daniel that she’s not sure she’s mentally strong enough to go through with her radio interview. Will Daniel convince Dee-Dee to do it? Meanwhile, Dee-Dee and James clash over Laila. Is Dee-Dee struggling with having Laila in her life more than she thought?

Elsewhere, Brody Michaelis attempts to wind up Daniel and spills his drink over his work. Meanwhile, DS Lisa Swain threatens to arrest him for harassment. Carla Connor is then shocked as she calls in to find Lisa putting Brody in handcuffs.

At the station, Brody empties his pockets containing a bottle of white pills but refuses to tell Lisa what they are. When Brody’s alone in his cell, he shouts out to Lisa that he needs his meds but as Lisa heads off, he suffers an epileptic fit.

Meanwhile, Maria Windass returns from the police station and tells husband Gary that she’s been released pending further investigations following her incident with Lou.

It’s not long before Maria rails at Lou for reporting her to the police but Lou denies it. Who reported Maria? Lou later calls to see Gary and assures him that she doesn’t want any trouble. Gary thanks her and offers her a beer.

Also on the cobbles, when Debbie Webster admits to Bernie Winter that she finds it hard being in the same room as Ronnie Bailey, Bernie suggests they head to her hotel and have a few drinks there instead.

Debbie and Bernie soon arrive in the Chariot Square bar to find Brody there enjoying a drink with a mate but when Brody fails to provide ID, Debbie loses her temper and, picking up his drink, smashes it on the bar.

Later, Bernie worries for Debbie as she forgot to pay in the cafe. Debbie breaks the news to Ronnie and Leanne Battersby that she needs to cancel the awards ceremony as there’s a flood at the hotel, but Leanne offers to host it at Speed Daal.

As Ronnie and Leanne share a laugh, Debbie watches. When Carl Webster tells sister-in-law Abi that they’re meant to be together, they realise Debbie is watching them.

Suddenly, Debbie collapses and as she regains consciousness, Kevin and Abi tell her she’s going to hospital. But when Debbie reveals that she already knows what’s wrong and she’s got dementia, how will they react?

And, Todd Grimshaw is on a mission to get drunk and drown his sorrows after seeing Theo Silverton’s family picture. When joined by Billy Mayhew and Sean Tully, Todd retaliates by taking a selfie of the three of them and posting it on his socials.

When Sean checks the dating app on his phone, he’s shocked when a picture of Theo pops up. How will Todd react? Theo manages to talk Todd round, realising who could be behind trying to split them up.

Later, Glenda Shuttleworth and Sean hand out leaflets advertising the Rovers’ Drag Night and Todd suggests to Theo they should attend. Later, as Theo replies to another of Millie’s numerous texts, Todd wishes he’d enjoy the evening.

Todd and Billy are in their element but when Sean lets slip that Todd and Billy used to be together, Theo’s shocked. When Todd spots Theo’s phone on the table, he switches it to airplane mode and Theo thinks Millie has gotten bored of texting him.

As the evening goes on, Theo and Billy bond and agree to swap numbers but when Theo discovers his phone is on airplane mode and ex-wife Danielle has been trying to call because Millie’s in hospital, he storms out. When Todd approaches Theo on the street, will Theo forgive him?

Todd finds Theo in the living room repeatedly snapping the elastic band on his wrist. Millie tells them that living with her Mummis stressing her out, but when Theo suggests she stays with them a bit longer, will Todd agree?

Later, Millie spells out to Todd that all she wants is for her dad to come home and lead a normal family life and she’ll do whatever it takes. So how far will Millie go?
