Colson Smith has revealed which TV show he has been filming for the BBC, weeks after his soap exit as Craig Tinker

Former Coronation Street star Colson Smith has been sharing details about an upcoming TV appearance of his, weeks after his exit from the long-running show.
Fans of the ITV soap were heartbroken last month when the actor’s character, PC Craig Tinker, was killed following a brutal attack in the line of duty.
As Corrie viewers saw at the end of last month, keen police officer Craig was supposed to be on placement with CID but was given the cold shoulder by mentor DC Kit Green.
Kit’s distracted, and rather cruel, behaviour saw Craig seek advice from DS Lisa Swain, who encouraged Craig to prove Kit wrong, and let her know if he had any more issues with the detective constable.
But it later led to his demise as he was called to a domestic at the home of Mick and his wife Lou, before later pulling the angry and agitated character over on suspicion of drink driving.
Craig wanted to arrest Mick, then he headed to his van and pulled out a baseball bat. While Craig tried to talk him down, Mick brutally used a weapon to attack the innocent cop and left him bleeding on the ground, before he later died in the hospital.
It was no surprise that Colson would be bowing out of the show, having announced in January that soap bossed had informed him his time on the cobbles was coming to an end.
The soap star is now looking ahead to pastures new and revealed this week that he had been filming a celebrity episode of BBC’s Mastermind.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Coslon shared a selfie from a lift and joked: “Reyt off I go, showing the world just how uneducated I am,” before later sharing more updates.
He posted a snap of the iconic chair that the contestants sit on as they’re quizzed by Clive Myrie and asked fans to “guess my specialist subject”.
The responses came in thick and fast, but one was mentioned more than others. Those who listen to the On the Sofa podcast which Colson co-hosts with Corrie star Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price will know that Colson is a big fan of the Hannah Montana movie.
As that came in as a suggestion, Colson revealed: “Wasn’t allowed it.” As Hannah Montana was suggested again, the 26-year-old shared: “Can I just say how much I love that I’ve had about 6000 suggestions of Hannah Montana!” He added: “I really did try!”
But fans have got quite the wait as he then shared a snap of him sitting in the hot seat and said: “Find out in December,” as he hid details of his specialist subject.
