Coronation Street fans have sussed out Lou Michaelis’ scheme against Gary Windass, and it’s not looking promising.
Lou (played by Farrel Hegarty) burst onto the scene of the ITV soap earlier this year, arriving on the cobbles with her menacing husband Mick (portrayed by Joe Layton).
The couple quickly settled into Mawdsley Street, causing a stir among the locals despite forming a bond with Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
Tragedy struck this month when Mick, in a drunken rage, fatally assaulted Weatherfield icon Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), and it was also disclosed that he has been abusing Lou.

With Mick now behind bars, Lou, who is a mother to three including the troublesome Brody (Ryan Mulvey), continues to rile up the neighbourhood, reports Leicestershire Live.
Gary Windass (Mikey North), a former associate of Mick’s, has been getting closer to Lou, leading viewers to speculate about a potential affair.
But in the episode aired on Wednesday (June 11), Lou seemed to reveal her true intentions as she struggles to provide for her family.
In the episode, Lou visited Mick in jail, expressing her inability to support his actions publicly. Desperate to feed her children, she confided her hope to exploit Gary’s affections to “rinse him for cash”.
She then confessed to Mick: “I love you, but you’ve left me no choice. Whatever it takes to survive.”
Coronation Street fans believe they’ve deduced the scheme brewing in the cobbles, forecasting a grim outcome for Gary.
On a dedicated Corrie fan page on Facebook, a keen viewer speculated: “I have a feeling Lou will sleep with Gary and then blackmail him for cash.”
Another concurred, commenting: “Was thinking the same thing.” A third chimed in with disdain: “How gross, just when everyone was starting to like her.” Echoing the sentiments, a fourth added: “Yep she’ll use it to get money from Gary.”
