Coronation Street star Sydney Martin has shared a two-word update with fans after being seen enjoying a much-deserved break away from the cobbles.

The actress, who joined the ITV soap last year in the role of Betsy Swain, took to social media last week to reveal she’d left the UK for a sunny break in Ibiza.

Taking to Instagram, Sydney shared a number of photos from her Ibiza getaway, including smiling snaps of her posing for the camera, and some of her beautiful surroundings, including a gorgeous sunset.

Captioning the post, the 23-year-old simply wrote: “Ibiza 25’,” alongside sun and flower emojis. And the comments quickly came flooding in.

On-screen mum Vicky Myers, who plays DS Lisa Swain in the long-running show, simply said: “Enjoy,” with a smiling face emoji. Hollyoaks star and Syndey’s real-life bestie Isabelle Smith also commented: “stunning [yellow heart emojis].”

Now, Sydney will has delighted fans as she returned to her online platform on Tuesday (June 10) with an update. The soap star could be seen posing for a mirror selfie in her dressing room.

She could be seen smiling for the camera in what appeared to be her Betsy attire, with her hair split into a half-up half-down style. “Back home,” she captioned the snap, alongside a face holding back tears, clapperboard and stars emojis.

It comes after Sydney was recently seen enjoying her first British Soap Awards, with the 2025 edition of the event taking place at the end of May, following a year break.

She was seen heading to the star-studded bash with her on-screen mum, Vicky Myers, and her co-star pal Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton in the ITV soap.

Alongside pictures of herself and Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton in the ITV soap, on Instagram, in which they both dazzled in very different gowns, with Cait jumping into a golden glitzy number with its own hood detail while Sydney sparkled in a fitted blue number, she wrote: “First Soap Award,” before adding: “Love my Corrie family.”

And Sydney’s latest post had her comparing to her previous share with her fans, again in which she could be seen alongside Cait as they posed for a magazine shoot in Roy’s Rolls, more in the style of their on-screen characters.

Posting the pictures side by side, Sydney admitted: “Last two posts really highlighting the 15-23 playing age [crying laughing emoji].” She added: “Thank you for the baby face, mum.”
