Dead body drama explodes in EastEnders as Nicola is violently ambushed
Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) is ambushed by a mystery intruder in EastEnders next week.
Scenes that aired this week saw her husband Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) learn the shock about her murderous secret.
As fans of the BBC soap know, Nic killed their eldest son Harry’s (Elijah Holloway) ex-girlfriend Shireen four years ago.
Desperate to conceal the scandal, she became even more spooked when Teddy signed on the dotted line to redevelop a derelict industrial park in Dartford.
But why did a return to their old haunt scare her so much? Well, that very same piece of land is where the Shireen is buried.
Yikes.
Nicola told her dodgy crony Benji (Carl Prekopp) – who helped to dispose of the body –that the time had come for them to disturb the grave and move her elsewhere.
To make matters worse for her, he said that at the time of the dastardly act, he’d placed Nic’s diamond bracelet at the scene of the crime and therefore the incident would be traced back to her.
With nowhere left to turn, she asked Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) to do the job instead.
While initially on board, he was appalled after discovering exactly what, or rather who he would have to move. It simply wouldn’t be worth being put behind bars and losing access to his children.
Nicola’s problems got a whole lot worse when Teddy overheard the conversation and asked her outright who she had buried.
In upcoming scenes, Teddy wants Harry to finally know the truth about Shireen, but backs down when he realises that it would cause his son’s behaviour to spiral.
Alone in the bar, she’s left shell-shocked by an intruder who bursts their way in.
